Woori Nara

read about this korean restaurant in TODAY some time ago, so we went there on a saturday night for dinner to check out their menu

appetizers include steamed pumpkin-soft and sweet, pickled lotus root & radish, kimchi, cabbage salad

volcano chicken(half)- $14
not as hot as it sounds to be, taste of the sauce is a combination of the sweet & sour plus peppery, something like A1 sauce.
they have other flavours of deep fried chicken eg. garlic, spicy
come in whole/half chicken proportions

bibimbap- $10
quite a good tasting typical korean dish

spicy tofu and veg- $8
texture of the tofu is like 豆干, kimchi sauce, quite nice

fish cake soup- $15
not bad, quite tasty with alot of fish cake, haha

overall, the dishes we tried were not bad, and with rice it was a filling meal
however, to me it seems like there weren't alot of other 'typical' korean dishes to choose from, like they don't have spicy rice cake. they do have some noodles though. probably cos the owner wasn't originally in f&b industry, as what i remembered from the article, he was an interior designer before this
ambience was all right, there's a tv on the wall with korea channel on :)
