Toa Payoh Lor 1 Food Centre

orange almond flourless cake

first time trying to bake this cake, turned out a little too moist in the center, probably because the proportion of orange we added was too much, 3 instead of 2 :p
whole oranges are used together with skin and zest, so the orange taste is strong enough
no flour, so eggs and almond meal make up the cake

so outside the foodcourt, there are these many food stalls with few seats each, like in bugis, but the space here is smaller. see see, they gave us this small square table for 4 person. i was like...
food is average only, so would not considering patronizing again. but have to say the lady who introduced the food and took our order at the counter was friendly la

Mansuku Japanese Food

saw this stall featured on a tv programme before, that it is popular with the lunch crowd on weekdays. usually when i go on weekend nights, it would be closed already.
so happened to go there on a early sunday evening, and tried their Katsu Don, which is not bad :)
they also offer terriyaki chicken/salmon with rice set, where there would also be a slice of watermelon and a large serving of coleslaw
