Everest Kitchen

nice quiet environment, with 2 murals depicting hills, villages
indian/nepalese music in background

interesting utensils- the heavy metal plates, beautifully crafted forks and spoons

Momo- $6
eight minced chicken dumpling, had them half fried and half steamed
not bad! fresh, and the sauce gives a good kick-not too hot but provides flavours of spices/their leaves

Piro Kukhura Ko Masu- $8
Spicy chicken with garlic, onions and capsicums, very tasty :)

Nawaratoon Korma- $6
Nine kinds of vegetables with nuts and fruit kofta in mild gravy. not bad

Jogi Bhuja- $3.5
Plain rice cooked with carrot, spinach and yellow ginger powder, the potful portion may not look like alot, but it was actually sufficient for 4 of us for the meal
not heavily spiced, goes well with the dishes

Garlic Naan- $2
three big pieces, good garlic fragrance

Kheer- $4
rice pudding dessert- quite porridge like, not sweet but interesting flavour which is that of the spice/herb they used(i think it is called cardamom, one that i see in briyani). cashew nuts are inside too

nepalese tea- $5 for a pot, 4 cups worth plus a bit more
also available in cups, $2 per cup
milk tea with little spice flavour, can add sugar on your own
our first time trying nepalese food, and found it acceptable for our taste buds :)
service was not bad, waiting staff will explain/recommend when we ask, refill water quite promptly. price still quite acceptable/affordable.
would like to visit again to try other dishes

just nice, wasn't too sweet :) followed jamie oliver's recipe(http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/fruit-recipes/apple-crumble), difference being me using green apples instead of red ones
nice butter fragrant crumble on soft apples :)

Fish & Chips

fish and chips with spagetti $6
pasta abit overcooked, tomato sauce was too sweet for my mum and i feel that it was not sour enough

fish and chips with mashed potatoes $5.8

batter quite crispy but texture of fish was a little too soft/squashy
they offer malt vinegar to sprinkle on fish. the vinegar is nice to smell, but would taste mild when with the fish
other choices of sides for the fish include french fries or rice $5.8
